Say NO to Plastic Bags

Have you noticed that more and more stores are charging plastic bags?

Some areas forbid plastic bags entirely.

Because we’re re-using our plastic bags for our kitchen trash, I do cough up the 20 cents every now and then. If I feel particularly cheap, I’ll let my grocery run free on the car floor as I drive home and then make hundreds of trips back and forth to get those free-range groceries locked up my kitchen.

Here are ways to carry groceries without using plastic bags:

1. Make your own reusable bags with old t-shirts
2. Use a laundry basket
3. Use a box
4. Grab a basket
5. Use a backpack
6. Keep food cool in a cooler
